Each experience goes through contributes to the construction of the system and its way of interpreting the world.
We never encounter a situation from scratch. Our way of perceiving, feeling, and reacting is partly based on past experiences. Some become resources. Others continue to influence our behavior in more subtle ways.
Understanding history
History is not limited to the memories of which we are conscious.
The experiences we go through contribute to how the system learns, adapts, and builds its reference points.
They sometimes influence expectations, reactions, or strategies put in place to deal with situations encountered.
Observing history allows us to better understand certain current practices without reducing a person to their past.

• You regularly encounter the same difficulties in different contexts.
• Some fears seem difficult to explain rationally.

History is not a condemnation. It constitutes one of the elements that contribute to the construction of the system and its way of approaching the present.
The past does not disappear. However, it may cease to determine how the present is experienced.
