Why I use the MUNZ FLOOR® in my approach
Of all the tools I use, the MUNZ FLOOR® is probably the one that acts most directly through movement.
I discovered this approach while looking for ways to further support the bodily dimension of change.
We can understand a situation.
We can identify certain mechanisms.
We can even achieve important realizations.
And yet, sometimes the body does not seem fully available to integrate these changes.
The MUNZ FLOOR® interests me precisely because it addresses the body in an unusual way.
The movements are slow.
They are spiral-shaped.
They are three-dimensional.
They engage the fascial system, this immense matrix of connective tissue that links the different structures of the body.
In my practice, I often observe that certain tensions, limitations, or compensations are deeply ingrained in bodily habits.
The movement then opens up new possibilities for organization.
What also strikes me about this approach is the quality of presence it develops.
Attention gradually shifts towards internal sensations.
The body becomes more perceptible.
Some areas are seeing renewed activity.
Others are finding more space.
Sometimes, unexpected emotions or reactions may even emerge during the process.
For me, this directly relates to what I observe in my work on human functioning.
Change is not just about thoughts.
It's not just about emotions.
It also involves how the body inhabits and moves through the experience.
The MUNZ FLOOR® is therefore a valuable complement to the other tools I use.
It allows the body to fully participate in the process of adaptation and integration.
And sometimes, when the movement changes, many other things become possible.
